EVENT MANAGEMENT INTERN

Interning with Savage Race is a great way to instantly emmerse yourself in the innerworkings of a fast-moving startup organization passionate about producing world-class events.  We are quite proud that our graduated interns say that they learned more in three months with Savage Race than in 4 years of college.  If you have a hunger for professional development and want to work in a tight-knit team oriented environment, this could be the internship for you.
 

Responsibility Details

• Assist in the execution of all Savage Race events
• Assist in the coordination of event vendors, sponsors, marketing team, construction team and volunteer coordinator to ensure seamless event execution
• Collect price quotations from contractors and vendors
• Learn the art of negotiation
• Develop volunteer plan for each event
• Work with construction team to develop obstacles and race course
 

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree (or working towards a 4-year degree)
• Ability to meet deadlines and execute under pressure
• Detail oriented
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness and ability to quickly learn from mistakes and adapt processes accordingly
• Can be characterized as a “team player”
• Proven history of creative problem solving
• Must demonstrate excellence in communication ability, both spoken and written
• Will do whatever it takes (within ethical standards) to get the job done!
