The Ultimate Savage Race Training Course

The Savage Race is quite literally a race built to kick your ass. We have a 35-ft sand dune, a 250 meter swim, multiple walls to jump over, fire, mud pits, barbed wire, and plenty of surprises up our sleeves come race day– don’t say we didn’t warn you!

So, how does one train for a race built to kick you ass? For starters, with lots of butt kicking. Enter Andy Farina’s Team "Running Man Club” from Gainesville Health & Fitness and their Savage Race training program.

Andy built a full on Adventure Race Obstacle Training Course that includes everything from suspended cargo nets to 9ft walls to a nearby trail for running. If you’re in the Gainesville area, we highly suggest you head over to Gainesville Health & Fitness Club to check it out. They have daily course run thrus with a group of trainers who live and breathe adventure racing like we do. It’s open daily to everyone from novices to extreme sports nuts.

Many members of Andy’s team place in the top 9% and a few have placed in the top 3%. There’s a rumor that - come August - they’re going after the ultimate prize – The Savage Axe of Fame. Any challengers out there on that fact?
